Another newsletter - another Passageways 2.0 award to share. In all seriousness, it's great that this project is being recognized by public art and architecture enthusiasts from around the country. But, what we really want is for you to enjoy the space. And with an upcoming movie night, Alley Hour and Silent Dance Party, you've got plenty of opportunities to do so.

Congratulations to the SPORTS duo of Molly Hunker and Greg Corso, the designers of City Thread which is the name of the linear sculpture spotlighted in Passageways 2.0 which was selected as the 2019 Architizer A+Awards Popular Choice Winner in the Concepts - Plus - Architecture +Urban Transformation category. And while you can visit the alley pretty much anytime you like, there are several upcoming events that might give you a little extra reason to visit.

First, there's a movie in the alley this Wednesday, July 31st with the "doors" opening at 8pm and the movie, Shoplifters (a Japanese film with subtitles), starting at 9pm. Bring a chair. RSVP on the Facebook event here.

Second, the next installment of Alley Hour is this Thursday, August 1st hosted by The Mad Priest. With happy hour specials and a DJ, it's a back to school edition from 5-7p.m. with lots of sidewalk chalk to keep the kids entertained. RSVP on the Facebook event here.

Last, you can catch the last Silent Party of the summer on August 17th starting at 8pm. You can dance the night away, tune into one of three DJs with your head set and have a blast of a Saturday night. Get your tickets here.

So whether you're a cinephile or a dancing queen, come on down to Cooper's Alley at 10 East 7th Street.
